Ice

Blm is covered in ice. Everything may proceed as usual but at 1/10th speed.

One also makes a rediscovery of the muscles one uses to keep oneself upright in a calamitously slippery environment.

Horseback riding, cross country skiing, waxing floors and walking two mad basenjis through an icy park all use the same muscle groups.

As this is your first blog, it seems only fitting that I post my first blog comment. NH's A.M. featured a panoply of percipitation--snow, rain, fog, sleet, freezing rain, those little frozen dots of mini-hail that bounce off things. I'm at work right now avoiding work. I sense there's cake somewhere in the building but as of yet have been unable to locate it.

I like cake. And I don't so much mind ice. But Kansans seem to have been introduced to this newfangled concept in frozen water somewhat recently. 'Twas the ONLY topic of conversation in this part of North America today. Two wonderful scenes of what it truly means to be a Kansan--the two block car queue to the grocery store (observed as I drove home to start a fire) and the purchase observed by my neighbor at said grocery store by woman in front of him--three megaboxes of goldfish crackers and a gross of batteries: apparently that is all you need. Parse that "sentence" all you want Major Sensible.
